Exceptional Shooting Performance:

The Leica SL2 full-frame mirrorless camera has a 47 megapixel CMOS sensor for stunning image detail. A sensor that hefty offers an ISO range that spans from 50 to 50,000 to give users clarity and reduced noise in low-light settings. To top it off, the advanced sensor is paired with body image stabilization to produce the sharpest photos and videos possible, even with a slower shutter speed. And to take the stress out of action shots, the autofocus on the new Leica tracks both faces and bodies with fine-tunable settings.

The Leica SL2 is a useful companion for videographers with its 4K/60fps and 5K/30fps cropped video shooting capabilities. To further cater to cinematographers’ needs, Leica included Cine Mode workflow, which changes shutter speed to shutter angle and ISO to ASA. The SL2 is designed with a 3.5mm microphone jack to properly capture audio when shooting footage.

The SL2 equips users with different shooting modes to fit their creative needs. The Maestro III Processor allows the capture of burst shots up to 20fps electronically and 10fps mechanically, all in 4K. Adjusting the “Long Exposure Noise Reduction” setting shortens the time needed for a well-executed long exposure shot. The Multishot function (which will come via a 2020 firmware upgrade) uses image stabilization to stitch photos together into a 187-Megapixel masterpiece.
